Video: Mixing Methods: A Bayesian Approach
In 2016, former EGAP Executive Director Macartan Humphreys gave a talk presenting a paper recently published in the American Political Science Review (APSR). The paper, co-authored with Alan M. Jacobs and titled “Mixing Methods: A Bayesian Approach,” examines a framework that integrates quantitative and qualitative data, which in turn allows researchers to draw causal inferences from combinations of correlational (cross-case) and process-level (within-case) observations.
