EGAP held a Learning Days workshop for principal investigators (PIs) in Latin America. This five-day event aimed to spread the concepts and tools of experimental methodology for social science research. The workshop covered sessions on key aspects in the design of experimental impact evaluations, presentations of experimental research, statistical exercises (with and without statistical software), and individual advisory sessions for participants to work on their own research designs. Key topics included causal inference, hypothesis testing, randomization, power, average treatment effects, non-compliance, and more.
Organization: This event was organized by Maarten Voors (Wageningen University, EGAP Trainings Director) and Rafael Piñeiro (Universidad Católica). The workshop instructors were:
