Abstract
The project “From verbal violence to physical violence in the Ivorian political field” aims to study the perception that the population surveyed have of violence in politics and the strategies they propose to prevent it. More specifically, it is a question of seeing if they are aware that the verbal violence that provokes and/or feeds physical violence is the materialization of partisan animosity and political dehumanization detrimental to the Ivorian nation. To do this, the study will interview 561 people from different socio-professional categories living in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. The data collected will be analyzed by the Modalisa software and the theory of linguistic politeness.
