Vince Hopkins is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of British Columbia. He studies behavioural public policy. Specifically, he examines low take-up of government programs— how political and psychological barriers prevent citizens from accessing the services they need. Vince often collaborates with government and civil society partners, using field and survey experiments to improve program take-up. His work has appeared in the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, Journal of Politics, Political Science Research and Methods, and Canadian Journal of Political Science.
