Sherry Jueyu Wu is an Assistant Professor of Management & Organizations and Behavioral Decision Making at UCLA. Her research is concerned with: 1) group influence over long-lasting behavioral changes, and 2) decision processes under resource disparity and social inequality. She’s currently involved in several projects, including a field experiment on participatory budgeting in China, field experimentation on inclusive banking in Mexico, and experiments on increasing SNAP uptake in the state of California. In prior work, she conducted field experiments with groups of Chinese factory workers and American university staff. She’s also investigated people’s decisions and perceptions with regard to inequality and hierarchy, and how social influence from nudges and choice architecture shifts behavioral patterns.
Sherry received her Ph.D. in Psychology at Princeton University (with a doctoral joint degree in Social Policy from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs), and B.A. in Psychology (summa cum laude) and Economics from the University of Virginia.
