Jake Bowers is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Statistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with affiliations in the National Center for Supercomputing Applications and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Jake’s research focuses on political methodology and applied statistics, specifically randomization inference for experiments and quasi-experiments. He is currently involved in several projects, including: field experiments in Ghana and Nigeria; survey experiments in Canada, the US, the UK, and Chile; research on the design and analysis of experiments on social networks; and the application of machine learning techniques to the analysis of experimental data. Jake is EGAP’s current Methods Director.
