International Justice Mission is a global organization that protects people in poverty from violence. IJM partners with local authorities in 33 programs offices in 19 countries to combat trafficking and slavery, violence against women and children, and police abuse of power.

Their mission is to protect people in poverty from violence by rescuing victims, bringing criminals to justice, restoring survivors to safety and strength, and helping local law enforcement build a safe future that lasts.

As part of that mission, IJM commissions and conducts research on the prevalence of crime, the performance of justice systems, the reliance of vulnerable people on justice systems, and the confidence of key stakeholders in those justice systems to protect vulnerable people from violence. IJM partners with host country governments, academic and other research organizations, survivor groups, and civil society organizations in these research studies.
