Denis Prieur examines people’s relationship with power – how they compete for it, how they achieve it, how they use and abuse it – around the world. Denis looks at how political competition shapes policy making and vice versa, and how contested authority can disrupt societies and nations. He has developed this lens over 26 years working on national security and foreign policy issues through diplomatic, intelligence, and military channels, providing analysis of political instability and conflict to to senior policymakers making decisions on Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and elsewhere.
