Danilo Freire is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Lincoln. His scholarship addresses the challenges developing countries face in resolving collective action problems and eliminating political violence. He is particularly interested in public service delivery, vertical and horizontal accountability, private governance, and state violence. Latin America is his principal region of focus.
His work has appeared in the American Journal of Political Science, British Journal of Political Science, and Journal of Experimental Political Science, among other outlets. His research has been funded by Google, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, and the Brazilian Council for Scientific and Technological Development. He holds a PhD from King’s College London and was formerly a postdoctoral researcher at Brown University.
