Ala Alrababah

Ala Alrababah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Bocconi University. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Public Policy Group and Immigration Policy Lab at ETH Zurich. He researches topics related to authoritarianism, political violence, and immigrants and refugees, mainly in the Middle East. To study these topics, Ala’ uses a combination of fieldwork, experimental and quasi-experimental methods, and text analysis tools. His research has been published or is forthcoming in the American Political Science Review, Comparative Political Studies, Political Analysis, International Studies Quarterly, and Political Science Research and Methods. Ala’ received his PhD in political science from Stanford University in 2021. He was formerly a junior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and has graduated with a BA in government from Dartmouth College.
