Aina Gallego is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Barcelona and a Research Associate at the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals. She currently specializes in the political economy of AI and technological change. She also investigates political representation, particularly of marginalized groups, and authored “Unequal Participation Worldwide,” which explores voter turnout inequalities and their reduction through institutional reforms. Aina Gallego holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and has held postdoctoral positions at the Spanish High Research Council and Stanford University.
