Citizen Monitoring and Natural Resource Management: Lessons from Metaketa III
On October 27, EGAP individual researcher and Metaketa III committee member / Peru team member Tara Slough showcased six new field experimental studies, carried out in coordination, that sought to assess whether augmenting the roles, responsibilities, and resources of community-based monitors reduces use or degradation of common pool resources and its effects on community governance. The event also highlighted the research design of and the integrated results from the six studies.
The research presented is part of EGAP’s Metaketa Initiative, a coordinated research model designed to foster innovation and cumulative learning through simultaneous replication of research across multiple contexts.
