Roni is a faculty member at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in the Departments of Political Science and International Relations. She received her Ph.D. from the Hebrew University, and pursued a post-doctoral fellowship at Princeton University. Her research examines micro and meso-level forces that motivate behavioral and societal change. She is interested in the forces that can reduce prejudice, violence, and discrimination. In her work on prejudice and violence reduction, Roni explores institutional processes and psychological tools that can potentially decreases prejudice among groups, and violence towards women. She tests these using various experimental and quasi-experimental methods in the laboratory and the field.
Upon joining the Hebrew University, Roni was awarded an Azrieli Early Career Faculty Fellowship. She was recently awarded the Gugenheim Foundation Distinguished Scholars 2024 award, and is a Global Scholar Fellow at CIFAR. She was also awarded the APS Rising Star Award.
