Markus Taussig

Markus Taussig is an Associate Professor of Management and Global Business at Rutgers Business School and an affiliated researcher with the Rutgers Institute for Corporate Social Innovation. He received his DBA in Strategy from Harvard Business School and Masters in International Economics and Southeast Asian Studies from Johns Hopkins‚ School of Advanced International Studies. He lived in Southeast Asia for nearly two decades, including a dozen years in Vietnam designing and carrying out firm surveys and doing operational audits and business planning for the World Bank, International Finance Corporation, and Asian Development Bank, among other international development organizations. His research on engagement between business, government, and other societal stakeholders has been published in the Academy of Management Journal, American Political Science Review, Global Strategy Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Law, Economics, and Organizations, Journal of World Business, Strategic Management Journal, and Strategic Science. This work has won best paper awards from the Academy of Management and the Community for Responsible Research for Business and Management. Markus has also received numerous fellowships, including two Fulbrights, and large grants for impact evaluation research in Vietnam and Myanmar from the World Bank, MIT‚ Jameel Poverty Action Lab, EGAP, and private foundations. He currently serves on the Editorial Review Board for Organization Science.
