Nathan Jensen (2002, Yale Ph.D.) is a Professor in the Department of Government at the University of Texas-Austin. He was previously an associate professor in the Department of International Business at George Washington University (2014-2016) and associate professor in the Political Science Department at Washington University in St. Louis (2002-2014). He teaches courses and conducts research on international financial markets, multinational corporations and development, the politics of oil and natural resources, political risk in emerging markets, trade policy, international institutions and civil conflict. His research addresses a number of topics in international political economy. His core research has focused on the relationship between multinational corporations and domestic governments. He has also published on the politics of natural resources, the political economy of international institutions, the diffusion of policy across borders, business corruption, and civil war. Nathan graduated with a B.S.B. from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota with majors in management (finance), economics and political science.
