Benjamin Kachero holds a Masters degree in Economic Policy Management and a Bachelors degree in Development Economics from Makerere University. He is an Economist in the Directorate of Policy Implementation Coordination, Monitoring and Evaluation of the Office of the Prime Minister. He is involved in assessment of the performance of government programmes, policies and projects in Ministries, Departments and Agencies. He has participated in several evaluations including those with researchers in academia. He is a member of: African Impact Evaluation Network of AGRODEP, IDEAS, Uganda Evaluation, Uganda Economics Associations, National Monitoring and Evaluation Technical Working Group of Uganda, Taskforce on assessment of performance of externally funded projects across all government sectors.
