Dr. Nazita Lajevardi is an Associate Professor of political science at Michigan State University. She is broadly interested in the following question: what is the status of marginalized groups in American democracy? As such, her scholarship largely examines American public opinion and political behavior through the lens of religious and racial identity, using an array of methodologies, including survey and field experiments. Her work has been published in venues such as Cambridge University Press, The Journal of Politics, and American Political Science Review, among others.
