Monica Aldana is EGAP’s Latin America Hub Program Officer. She hails from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, to develop and implement EGAP’s first Regional Hub. Prior to this role, she was a Project Advisor at Region Administrativa y de Planificación – RAP Pacífico, and at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia where she developed different areas of interest, such as: education, minority rights (particularly Afro and indigenous peoples), peacebuilding, as well as poverty & inequality, liaising stakeholders and generating inter-institutional synergies, international cooperation agreements, fundraising with multi-level participants: Academia + Government + Civil Society + Private sector. She holds a postgraduate degree in Project Management from the School of Engineering at the Universidad EAN, and a bachelor’s degree in Philology and Languages from the School of Human Sciences at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
