Chris Snow is Governance Research Manager at BBC Media Action, with a particular interest in conflict, fragility and the practical application of research in development. His research activities are currently centred around Media Action’s governance programmes in fragile states, examining the media’s role in civic engagement, accountability and improved state-society relations. Recent publications with BBC Media Action include ‘Media, Discussion and Attitudes in Fragile Contexts’ (2015) and ‘Political Participation and the Role of the Media’ (2016 - forthcoming). Previously Chris worked on governance issues in Afghanistan with a number of local research institutions, and with the UK’s stabilisation unit as a conflict advisor.
