Diana Z. O'Brien is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at Indiana University. Her research and teaching interests include women and politics, representation, political parties and institutions, the executive branch, European politics, and research methods. She has published article on these topics in top-ranked journals, including the American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science, European Journal of Political Research, Journal of Politics, Politics & Gender, Comparative Politics, and Legislative Studies Quarterly. Before joining the faculty at Indiana University, she was Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Southern California. She received her Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. Her work has been supported by the National Science Foundation and recognized by the American Political Science Association's Women and Politics Research Section.
