Danila is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Southern Methodist University. She is also a research affiliate at the Center for the Study of African Economies (CSAE), University of Oxford. Before joining SMU she was an Assistant Professor of Economics at Florida State University and a member of the FSU Experimental Social Science Research Group (2009-2012). Her research interests include experimental economics; development economics; economics of corruption; and culture, norms, and institutions. With Leonard Wantchekon, she edited a volume entitled New Advances in Experimental Research on Corruption (2012). Danila received her PhD in Economics from the University of Oxford in 2009, and is originally from Italy.
