Michael joined Global Integrity in October 2013. He leads our work on multi-stakeholder governance initiatives (MSGIs), including the Open Government Partnership. He also leads Global Integrity’s money in politics workstream, as well as our advocacy efforts. Before coming to Global Integrity, Michael lived rural Bulgaria, where he worked with local NGOs and municipal authorities to improve service delivery and the local business environment. He has managed fieldwork investigating electoral strategies in Ireland, undertaken human rights advocacy work in India, and helped connect cultural entrepreneurs in Mexico. Michael has also worked in South Africa. He holds a master’s degree in International Development from Georgetown University, where his studies concentrated on quantitative analysis and governance, as well as a bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy from the University of Notre Dame.
