Anna is the Head of Evidence at BBC Media Action, and she leads our evidence work on the role of media and communication in social change across the fields of health, governance and resilience. Overseeing the analysis team and building research partnerships, this work seeks to understand better what works in our projects for who and why – or why not. Anna joined Media Action in 2005 and prior to her current role she was Head of Research Programmes overseeing research teams across Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Previously, Anna worked with the Ministry of Defence where she specialised in leading research in conflict and post-conflict societies. Her earlier work included consultancy to inform government policy. She read Mathematics at The University of Sheffield and holds a post-graduate qualification in Applied Statistics.
